なお、現在教皇へのカトリック的な一般的敬称表記は「聖下」がよく使われているが、ここでは試しに伝統的な「猊下」としてみた。またbeatusは現在では、「聖人」sanctusと差別化して「福者」と訳されるが、ここではあえて冗長ながら「祝福された」と訳した。
